12 August is World Elephant Day 🌎 🐘 and certainly one we will not forget.
Tokkie received a call from North West Parks informing him that a male elephant had a tractor tyre around his neck near the Madikwe Game Reserve. Flying For Freedom SA, together with Dr Paul Bartell, who donated his services, was called upon to assist with the darting.
The tyre was safely removed and the elephant eagerly rejoined the herd.
